Melbourne teenager fighting for life after being stabbed by group in Carlton

A teenager is fighting for life after being set upon by a group of 10 youths in Melbourne.

The 15-year-old boy was riding a scooter on Cardigan Street in Carlton just after 5.30pm on Saturday when he was approached by a group of 10 youths.

The boy was allegedly stabbed, being left in a critical condition.

Police attended the scene and launched an investigation.

One male has been arrested and is assisting with inquiries.

Police are looking into the possibility the group and the boy know each other.
